Welcome to Learn Greek with Meraki. You might be wondering what meraki means and how it is connected to learning Greek. It’s one of these magic words we frequently meet in any language and translating it into a single word would challenge the most talented translator. We can describe the word and assign the meaning of a very strong wish to do something but also the intense feeling of love and affection when engaging in our favourite activity.

That’s why I chose this word for the title of my website. Teaching a foreign language needs meraki; otherwise it becomes part of a routine offering only little to both teacher and student. But if it’s done with true passion and love, it is transformed to a whole different experience.

My name is Panos and I am an online tutor of Greek as a foreign language. I have been teaching Greek and English for 15 years now and although I have changed many professions in my life, I never stopped teaching. I recently decided to make it my main profession, teaching Modern Greek as an online tutor.
